Ben has just run the Oxfam 100km run in Sydney as part of "the bustin strutters" team. He
ran it in 19:34hrs and finished 14th out of 500 teams. He is not
a serious long distance runner but loves challenging and pushing himself.
He works as a shipwright in Sydney and his sailing experience varies from national
titles in 470's, 2 x Sydney to Southport races, 1 x Sydney to Hobart as well as years
of inshore and short offshore experience.
"I love the long distance off road events and the combination of running and

Have 30+ years of running experience with best marks of 50 mile 5:27:24 (1990).
2nd place London to Brighton in 1997 6:09:01-55miles.
A 6:18:58 Comrades marathon also 1997 and a 133km for 12 hour.
Also 31:40 10 km and a 2:30:51 marathon best .70:04 half.
After recent major toe surgery hope to be back running well despite knocking 50!

Stephen's only sailing experience is to have sailed (as a runner) in the last 7
Tamar Classic races. As a runner he has a 3.5 hr marathon pace. He has completed
this years Ross marathon, Triple Tops and Point to Pinnacle races.
In 2005, Stephen completed the Cradle Mountain Run (85km) and has entered it again
for 2009.

Matt has just returned to Australia, now in Hobart, after several years in Arizona. Matt
has experience ultra running (trails) and rogaining.
Some of Matt's recent ultras include the Javelina
Jundred (100 miles in the AZ desert 2007, 25 hours), Tahoe Rim (100 miles at
8000 ft, 2006, 29 hours), and Zane Grey (50 miles of steep, rocky trails, 2006, 13
hours). In
his last marathon (Tucson, 2007), his pace was 3:15. He also twice completed the
Cochise County Cycle Classic (250-mile bike ride), 2005 and 2007.
Matt hasn't had many recent rogaine opportunities, but he placed 2nd in the Australian
Rogaining Championships in 1999 and 5th in the World Championships in 2000.

Adrain has competed in the 2002 & 2004 Tamar Valley Classics.
He has competed in the 2008 Caburary marathon with out any training & still finished 15th in
just over 3 hours.
He competed in a 100km race in Christchurch in November 2007 and has competed
in the the Three Peaks in 2005 & 2006, missed out on a boat in 2007. He is very
keen to be in a team in 2009. He has been training hard so far and is ready to run
in this year's Three Peaks Race.
