1.30 pm	Hydro Tasmania Three Peaks Race yachts parade before the official start.
1.50 pm	The 10 minute preliminary gun is fired by Ms Rachel Court, Tasports.
1.55 pm	The 5 minute warning gun is fired by Mr Vince Hawksworth, CEO Hydro Tasmania.
2.00 pm	The race Start Gun is fired by the Governor of Tasmania and Race Patron His Excellency Mr William Cox AC, RFD, ED.
2.15 pm	Presentation of prizes for Wooden Boats Rally.
2.20 pm	Water Ski Demonstration by Seen Bros Ampol Beaconsfield.
	Bands will continue to play for the remainder of the day. Food, wine and refreshment stalls and Showmen's Guild activities will continue for remainder of the day.

Free Entry at Wharf Entry to the wharf area is free to watch the start and participate in the various activities on race day. See highlights of the various television news services on ABC, WIN TV and Southern Cross Television. Watch this website for News, Photos and Race Times as the race progresses each day. Easter Saturday 22nd March 2008 Watch for television evening news on ABC, WIN TV and Southern Cross Television. During the day, commencing in the early hours, the race fleet is expected at Lady Barron, Flinders Island. By afternoon most of the runners will have completed the first run to the summit of Mt Strzelecki and return. The yachts will then leave for Coles Bay. The last team is expected to have departed Lady Barron by midnight. Easter Sunday 23rd March 2008 The first of the race fleet can be expected in Coles Bay from noon onwards. After completing the run over Mt Freycinet, the first teams will be departing for Hobart in the late afternoon. Watch the action at the Coles Bay jetty, the arrival and departure point for yachts and runners. Join the many onlookers and cheer the teams on. All teams are expected to have departed Coles Bay by evening or early Monday morning. Easter Monday 24th March 2008 The Kings Pier at Sullivans Cove in Hobart is the next and last control point where yachts are timed in and runners sent on their final climb, the 33 km run to the summit of Mt Wellington. See the runners have their final kit check and setting off on this run. Cheer them back in about 2 1/2 to 3 hours later, the winner expecting to finish from mid morning onwards. Ring the control centre for an update on their progress. Click here for the phone numbers. Tuesday 25th March 2008 The last teams are expected to finish at Kings Pier, Hobart on Tuesday. The "Last In" trophy is always a great way to celebrate that everyone who completes this great race is a "winner". Visit the race Control office on the wharf to check the results and cheer the "last in" team. (Race Control Contact Details) 6.00 p.m. Informal "Post Race Brag" is the opportunity for competitors to  re-live their experiences and plan for next year's race. Meet at the Hobart Race Control, Waterside Pavillion at Constitution Dock, Hobart. Saturday 29th March 2008 7.30 p.m. Official Presentation and Reunion Dinner at Tasmanian Racing Club at the Elwick Racecourse, Glenorchy. Competitors, volunteers and others gather to celebrate the race, congratulate the winners and re-live some of the many memorable moments of the past week.
