Fully Crewed Race DivisionThis race division allows yachts to have their normal full offshore racing crew plus two runners. Details of the specific rules that apply to this Division are noted below. These rules must be read in conjunction with the main race rules. 1. This Division is open to any approved monohull yacht of a minimum 8.5 metres hull length. 2. Competing yachts shall carry at least five crew members inclusive of sailors and two runners. 3. Each yacht shall provide specified measurements for calculation of their PHS handicap that is calculated according to the formula shown at paragraph 2.1.10. Handicaps. Overall handicap positions are calculated from the corrected total sailing time plus the total running time. 4. The route into Lady Barron will follow the recognised shipping channels through Franklin Sound as shown on the Australian Hydrographic chart AUS 179 Franklin Sound and Approaches to Lady Barron following the leads. 5. Yachts departing Lady Barron may choose to depart east through the Pot Boil or the Vansittart Shoals, or west using the leads via the shipping channel through Franklin Sound. 6. Tasman Island (Lat 43°15' Long 148°00') must be passed to the south leaving it to starboard. 7. Teams are not eligible for the Tilman Trophy. 8. The sailing time for each leg will be timed from the start of the sailing leg until runners check in to the official checkpoint at the commencement of the mountain running leg. Sailing time will include any allowed motoring time. 9. Elapsed times for the mountain legs will commence when the runners leave the Race Control Point until they return to the Race Control Point on completion of the mountain run. The period of time at the conclusion of the run until the yacht correctly crosses the start line is unrecorded time. 10. Yachts must at all times comply with the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea in force at the time, except in areas where those regulations are superseded by special rules duly laid down by a local authority. Legal navigation lights must be displayed during the hours of darkness. 11. Yachts cannot use oars or any other human powered means of propulsion. The above rules could be subject to change and the official Race Rules are the definitive descriptions of the Fully Crewed Race Division.
